Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) - Complete Guide
Overview
BDD is a VA program allowing service members to file disability claims 180-90 days before separation from Active Duty, enabling potential claim decisions on or shortly after the separation date.
BLUF: You have a 90-180 day window before separation to file BDD. Miss it, and you're filing like every other civilian veteran—waiting months instead of getting rated before your DD-214 ink is dry. Don't be that guy.
Eligibility

- National Guard/Reserves on Active Duty or Title 32 orders within the BDD window
- Previous service members with denied conditions must file appropriate appeals
