Rating Criteria

Rating Criteria
40% Loss of supination and pronation (bone fusion) (major extremity)
30% Loss of supination and pronation (bone fusion) (minor extremity)
30% Limitation of pronation, motion lost beyond middle of arc (major extremity)
20% Limitation of pronation, motion lost beyond middle of arc (minor extremity)
20% Limitation of pronation, motion lost beyond last quarter of arc (major extremity)
10% Limitation of pronation, motion lost beyond last quarter of arc (minor extremity)
10% Limitation of supination to 30° or less (either extremity)

Important Notes

Supination = palm up (turning doorknob to open). Pronation = palm down (turning doorknob to close). Normal supination/pronation range: 0-90° each direction. Middle of arc = 45°. Last quarter = 67.5°. Major extremity = dominant arm. Affects manual dexterity, tool use, daily activities.
