Make your experience count.

Start with the announcement. Match its requirements to your real experience. Keep track of what still needs to be done.

One announcement, one application plan

Add the title, announcement number and exact deadline to your first step. The six editable steps below help you prepare; they do not determine qualifications or submit an application. Download the plan to keep your work or reopen it in My Plan.

Check the current document rules

Guidance checked September 11, 2026. USAJOBS generally limits résumés to two pages. Some announcements request a long-form document such as a clinical or research CV. Follow the announcement’s Required Documents and How to Apply sections, and inspect the final document’s page count yourself.

Build a résumé draft below using your own facts. This tool checks for blank fields; it does not verify your experience. You can check a finished PDF’s page count below. Review every factual statement before using it. Do not enter SSNs, classified information or copies of sensitive documents.

Work stays in this tab. Download a plan file before you leave, then reopen it here later. No account needed, and nothing is saved to a server — plans live only in this browser tab until you download them. Files may contain your notes; keep them somewhere private and leave out claim numbers, Social Security numbers and medical records.

Progress is your own record. Marking a step done does not submit an application, confirm a referral or establish approval.

Interactive controls are loading. If they do not load, you can write your next steps on paper and use the resource directory.

    Put your experience on paper

You bring the facts. This workspace puts them into a plain résumé draft for one announcement. Keep private records, SSNs and classified details out. Work stays in this tab. Download a workspace file to keep all entries and announcement notes, then reopen it here. That file contains your personal details; keep it private. The separate résumé text download excludes announcement notes.

Follow the announcement for required education, licenses and documents. For education, include the institution, completion date, degree and GPA when required. For federal experience, include the pay plan, series and grade. Review the final file against the current two-page limit or the announcement’s specific long-form instructions. A text download does not establish page count.

The résumé editor needs JavaScript. You can prepare your document using the official résumé guidance above.

    Your announcement and verified facts

    Check the announcement’s document list

Copy each required or optional document from the announcement. “Ready” is your preparation record; it does not mean the file was submitted or accepted. Save this checklist in your workspace file. It is excluded from résumé text.

    No document requirements recorded yet.

    Check your finished PDF

Choose the final résumé PDF to count its pages on this device. The file is not uploaded or added to your workspace download. This check accepts files up to 5 MB; inspect the document yourself for legibility and the announcement’s other requirements.

The page counter needs JavaScript and browser worker support. You can also check the page count in your PDF reader.
